Welcome to DANKGOLF
Hello, my name is Matthew Kessel and welcome to DANKGOLF.
Are you an avid golfer who makes their golf club purchase decisions based on catchy marketing campaigns stating that club XYZ will go 10 yards farther? Does your idea of a “proper fitting” include going to a big-box retail store and beating balls for 30 minutes and picking the club that you hit the furthest shot with? If you answered yes to either of these questions and you truly are looking to play better golf and lower your scores, you have come to the right place!
The goal of this website is to help golfers of all abilities shoot lower scores by getting them into the correct set of properly fit golf clubs. This will be done by taking a more quantitative, mathematical approach than you have ever experienced before. I will test multiple clubs, head to head and break down the results using data points such as the population standard deviation, range, and mean (average) to paint a better picture of how far the golf ball is flying compared to the all too common purchasing philosophy of “which club went the farthest.” At the end of the day I don’t really care how far a golf ball goes for a certain club. What will help you hit more greens and shoot lower scores is knowing the average distance your clubs fly, taking the trouble out of play, and playing clubs that can consistently produce the intended distance.
Furthermore, I can help your golf game by taking a scientific approach to golf course management. All too often I see amateurs pick the wrong club from the tee, go for the par 5 in two when they should be laying up, try to hit their wedge 150 yds, etc. I will provide insight backed up with supporting data to help you shoot lower scores with the clubs in your bag today.
I thank you all in advance for your support, input, and constructive criticism. Enjoy and congratulations, you have made a huge step towards lower scores and playing better performing golf clubs.
